The final touches are being made to Birmingham’s NEC, ready for over 35,000 UK Construction Week (UKCW) visitors between 9 – 11 October,  and professionals can get ahead by planning their time now.

With only days left until the construction industry’s biggest event of the year kicks off, installers and independent tradespeople are gearing up to take advantage of the exhibitors, workshops, seminars and networking at this year’s Build Show, sponsored by Easy-Trim.

Those wanting to navigate more than 650 exhibitor stands successfully, can pre-book meetings via the UKCW website. The BRE Academy is also hosting free workshops; OM Group is holding health and safety CPD sessions on its stand; and the Access Industry Forum is delivering Working at Height CPD sessions. Topics encompass construction site safety, upskilling, retrofit, ladders and stepladders, mobile access towers and more.

Relax and celebrate

Celebrations are in order as UKCW announces its Role Models initiative winner live on the UKCW Stage on 10 October.

Following a jam-packed day, there will be plenty to talk about at the Central Bar in Hall 11, sponsored by the Elliott Group and the Timber Bar in Hall 9, sponsored by Germany Trade & Invest. For a livelier finish to the day, the Beer Festival, sponsored by Velux, is featuring street food, a gin and fizz bar, rockaoke and FIX radio.
