A Worthing based home improvement company has reported a tenth consecutive year of growth and said that a pivotal number of contract wins in 2017 has put the business in a position of strength moving forward.

In the year up to January 2018, Newview Windows and Conservatories saw forward work climb from £4.2 million to £6.5 million – a 55 percent increase – thanks to a rise in the number of retail and commercial contracts the company has won recently.

During this period Newview also saw staff numbers rise to over 50 and the business commenced a major contract win with London City Airport.

The company won the contract to install noise-reducing windows on homes around London City Airport and has employed Gary Ward to head up the project.

London City Airport recently gained permission to begin its £400m expansion programme.

The expansion will involve extending a terminal, constructing seven new aircraft stands, and adding a parallel taxiway.  The programme is expected to take around four years to complete and residents have been offered sound-proofed windows to minimise the disruption caused to them by the building work and then subsequent aircraft noise. Newview already operate similar urban noise reduction schemes for both Heathrow Airport and Network Rail.

Commercial Director Michele Wietscher comments: “The construction industry has not been without its challenges over the last couple of years but there are still contracts to be won for companies that can demonstrate they have the necessary expertise and resources.

“It’s no secret that we have invested heavily across the business, in staff training, new products and infrastructure to be able to compete and win major deals. Going forward this will continue and we’re positive about what the future will bring.”

Michele has recently commented on the Carillion crisis as Newview was a supplier of theirs but fortunately, they were not owed any money and have not been adversely affected by the news.
