CONTINUED GROWTH SEES MILWOOD GROUP MOVE TO BRAND-NEW HEADQUARTERS

With continued demand for their range of outdoor living products and Ali-deck, their ground-breaking aluminium decking system, Kent-based specialists Milwood Group have expanded their operation with a move to brand-new headquarters.

Milwood Group, which was previously based at Turkey Mill Business Park in Maidstone, has moved its head office seven miles to the Rochester Airport Industrial Estate on Laker Road in Rochester. The move not only gives Milwood’s expanding team more office space, but provides dedicated stockholding and distribution facilities for their new Ali-deck operation.

Kevin Horne, Managing Director of Milwood Group comments: “It’s a really exciting time here at the Milwood Group with the continued growth of our outdoor living range and the launch of Ali-deck, which is already proving incredibly popular in both trade and commercial markets. With such a big 18 months for the business, it was clear we had outgrown our previous premises.

“We’re delighted to be moving to our brand-new HQ, which ensures we have the space we need as we continue to scale-up and meet rising demand. While our Hinckley base will continue as our main distribution facility for our aluminium verandas, canopies and carports, our new head office will serve as the home of Ali-deck.

“Along with additional space for our new, dedicated Ali-deck team, it gives us the stockholding capabilities to support installers, architects and specifiers with residential and large-scale commercial decking projects. The new premises play an integral role in our overall strategy to deliver the strongest possible service to our trade partners nationwide.”

Milwood Group are the UK’s specialist manufacturer of premium outdoor living products. Their range of aluminium verandas, canopies and carports are manufactured in the UK using their bespoke extrusions. Whilst Milwood has introduced a number of new shelter solutions this year, they have also launched Ali-deck, the world’s first quick-fit, slip-resistant aluminium decking system.

Along with providing a unique upselling opportunity for Milwood’s nationwide trade partner network, Ali-deck offers a cost-effective and fire-resistant alternative to composite decking in high-rise residential and commercial buildings. While the government’s updated advice has outlawed combustible composite materials, Milwood’s pioneering Ali-deck decking boards carry Class A2-s1 and d0 fire ratings.
