Leading window and door manufacturers Shelforce is partnering with the Glazing Summit for the third time in a row.
The Birmingham-based company, which specialises in providing high-quality PVCu and aluminium products to local authority building projects, including Birmingham City Council, flew the flag for the industry when appearing on ITV’s Made in Britain in April.
And Shelforce’s Business Manager Howard Trotter, who has spoken at the last two events, is delighted to be partnering with the event once again after it was put on hold last year due to the pandemic.
“After the last 12 months it will be brilliant to have the chance to get together once again as an industry,” said Howard.
“The Glazing Summit provides the perfect space to do that, and discuss the issues affecting us all and the future of the sector. We are all in this together and it’s hugely important that the industry supports events like the Glazing Summit, which are vital to the sector.”
The eagerly anticipated event takes place at the Edgbaston Conference Centre, Birmingham, on Thursday, October 21 and will be packed with industry insight, advice and discussion on the issues that matter from a host of expert and keynote speakers.
Shelforce employs some of the city’s most vulnerable people, with 75% of its workforce disabled and has maintained its fully inclusive legacy.
Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit and CEO of glazing industry specialists Insight Data and Purplex Marketing, said: “We are delighted that Shelforce have backed the event again and it was great to see them on Made In Britain.
“The skills shortage is a threat to the industry and an ongoing challenge, so it’s brilliant to welcome a company that is doing it’s best to address the issue with its commitment to training and employment.
