Vista meets growing demand with second major factory expansion programme

Following a huge increase in demand for home improvement products, award-winning composite door manufacturer Vista Panels has embarked on a second expansion programme to increase factory space by investing in a new 10,000 square foot unit at its Wirral-based site.

It follows investment in an additional 8,000 square foot unit on its premises earlier this year, to assist with future proofing its supply chain process and mitigating raw material sourcing brought on by Covid-19.

Business Development Manager Ian Smith comments: “We’ve enjoyed a hugely successful first two quarters thanks to last year’s industry boom, and this surge in sales is not showing any signs of slowing down, which is why we’ve now further invested in a new unit, allowing us to really ramp up production of both our XtremeDoor composite doors and our uPVC panels, and keep up with the ever-growing demand.

“Since last year, we have continued to invest in machinery and staff as we follow a strategy of controlled growth, and the new unit will help us continue that, keep up with production, and cut lead times to a minimum, something which is very difficult to achieve in the current economic climate.

“Demand for high-quality composite doors is certainly set to continue, and with two factory expansions this year, we’re confident we’ll be able to keep up with this demand and continue to deliver a fantastic service to our valued customers.”

In 2014, Vista launched XtremeDoor, a high-spec composite door that boasts a high-security five-point locking system, and includes an anti-snap, bump and drill cylinder designed to withstand the three main attack methods during a burglary.

It also provides outstanding weather performance thanks to a triple-sealed PVC Eurocell outer frame and GRP waterproof skin, and excellent thermal performance thanks to a high-density foam-filled composite door slab.
