External shading experts show support for Global Shading Day 2024

External shading specialists, Caribbean Blinds, is showing its support for a global shading awareness day for the second year in a row.

Organised by the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO), Global Shading Day is a specialist awareness-raising day dedicated to highlight how shading can improve a building’s sustainability and energy efficiency.

As a manufacturer supplying a range of external shading solutions, Caribbean Blinds strongly supports this initiative and actively publicises the benefits of shading including how it can effectively reduce energy, save money and cut emissions.

While Global Shading Day is a fantastic one-day event which successfully unites companies across the world, the Suffolk-based company continuously promotes the power of solar shading throughout the year.

Stuart Dantzic, MD of Caribbean Blinds, said: “As a business, we’re incredibly passionate about external shading and the many benefits it brings. Backing this initiative is a no brainer to us as we are always looking at ways to share our knowledge of external shading.

“Ultimately by creating a physical barrier between the sun’s energy and glazing, external shading is the most effective way to prevent unwanted solar heat gain, eliminate excessive solar heat gain and stop indoor temperatures soaring and properties overheating.

“As outdoor living continues to be incredibly popular across both the commercial and residential space, it’s important to raise awareness about the impact of solar shading and how it can effortlessly be incorporated into any building or outside space.”

Working across residential, trade, commercial and contract, Caribbean Blinds has developed an extensive range of premium external shading solutions including patio awnings, external blinds and the renowned selection of louvered pergolas. All three provide incredible protection from sun exposure and create luxury outdoor environments. For more information visit: https://www.cbsolarshading.co.uk/
